CLEVELAND, OH, July 26, 2021 – The Cleveland Chain Reaction partners have identified 24 businesses to advance to the semi-finals in the neighborhood economic development project. Over the next six weeks, the businesses will participate in a business bootcamp to prepare them to pitch at the Business Pitch Showcase scheduled for September 29th and 30th.

The 24 bootcamp participants represent a variety of industries serving both current and emerging markets with products and services that range from food and hard goods manufacturing to technology and healthcare. Each company was selected for its potential growth and impact on jobs and investment in the city of Cleveland.

Nearly 80 businesses applied for the 2021 season of Cleveland Chain Reaction. The program partners – the Greater Cleveland Partnership’s COSE, JumpStart, Cleveland Neighborhood Progress and Cleveland Development Advisors – will work in collaboration with program sponsors and entrepreneurial ecosystem partners to select six winners. The first-place winner will receive $40,000, the two second place winners will receive $20,000 each, and the three third place winners will receive $10,000 each.
